Sydney 3D and motion design studio Chalk Company makes their Stash debut with this carefully rendered CG work for London-based Australian producer/DJ Air Max ’97 (aka Oliver Brian) and his latest EP “Fool’s Errand”.
Miles Hellyer, founder/CD at Chalk Company: “AM97 approached us to produce the artwork as well as a series of motion clips that could be remixed into visualizers across social media and streaming platforms.
“AM97 had a strong idea for the artwork: to anchor the visuals around a device without purpose.”
“AM97 had a strong idea for the artwork: to anchor the visuals around a device without purpose. The device was to be complex, industrial and show elements of assembly that are normally hidden within finished products.
“To achieve this, we worked closely with AM97 to sketch, experiment and iterate a 3D model that matched the music and the brief. Details such as interior plastic molding, interlocking elements and wired connections then gave us ample content to turn the key visual into a series of flexible animated 3D renders.”
