German animation/illustration/design duo Andreas Kronbeck and Tobias Knipf (aka Musclebeaver) conjure a delightful world full of graphically quirky characters for this explainer designed to engage kids suffering from Cystinosis.

Andreas Kronbeck and Tobias Knipf: “Cystinosis is a rare, genetically determined lysosomal storage disease [that] unfortunately often affects young children.

“This film was developed to motivate children affected by the disease to take their medication, which is essential for survival, on a regular basis. It is very important that children with cystionosis take the medication every two hours. Even at night, which is a huge burden.”
