Finding Stars in Style: Hyperia Smart Telescope Launch Film

Astronomy is not a field often associated with style or elegance, which makes this product reveal film by director/art director Thomas Limouzin and his small CG crew for French telescope maker Vaonis, all the more refreshing.

Thomas Limouzin: “In the field of astronomy, Vaonis stands as a pioneer, constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation to bring humanity closer to the Cosmos. Their Hyperia model is the latest expression of this vision: the world’s first all-in-one professional smart observatory.

“The art direction emphasizes power, precision, and the quality of the materials, revealing Hyperia as both a high-end instrument and an object of beauty.”

“We developed a series of static and animated visuals focused on Hyperia’s design and key components, created for digital use across the website and social platforms.

“Using a limited color palette, soft lighting, and controlled contrast, shadows move across the surface adding depth and character, helping sculpt a strong and refined visual presence.

“Through this balance of light and shadow, technology becomes expressive. The art direction emphasizes power, precision, and the quality of the materials, revealing Hyperia as both a high-end instrument and an object of beauty.”
