“How Have You Been?” Short Film by Andy Baker and Polly Nor

In his latest personal short film How Have You Been?, director/animator Andy Baker reteams with London illustrator Polly Nor for a surreal look at “coping with grief, depression, and the mundanity of life in lockdown.”

Created for WePresent, the editorial arm of WeTransfer, and launched as part of WePresent’s selection of films for Mental Health Month, the film uses relatable aspects of our lives over the last 16 months to drift in and out of one woman’s flat-bound hell.

Andy Baker: “Polly’s work has many layers and explores various themes whilst also allowing the viewer space to interpret it in their own way. The best thing about this world of Polly’s is it always feels like there’s so much more you want to explore, even once you’ve finished making a film.”

“The film was created completely remotely during the global lockdown — which is fitting given the remote and isolated sensibilities of the subject matter.”
