Material Focus’ HypnoCat Says Recycle Your Electricals

Working with agency Truant London, director Chris Boyle and the Private Island animation crew conjure an impossible-to-ignore CG spot for UK non-profit Material Focus and their Recycle Your Electricals campaign.

David Gamble, ECD/co-founder at Truant London: “HypnoCat was born to solve a tricky behavioral problem. His sole purpose is to stop people from binning their electricals and start recycling them. He allows us to say very functional and direct messages in a fun and engaging way.”

Charlie Lindsay and George Bartlett, Truant London ACDs: “The idea was hypnosis by earworm. We wanted to make something so fun and memorable that we’d have an army of people singing along and purr-suading humans everywhere to stop binning, and start recycling. And it’s already working. I’ve recycled my TV and there was nothing wrong with it.”
