Pfizer “The Stories of Chronic Pain Patients” by Chu-Chieh Lee

Director and motion graphic designer Chu-Chieh Lee based in London and Taiwan: “These animations were screened at the Atlantic Festival with the aim to visualize the patient narratives and highlight the spoken content.

“Pain is physical, of course, but it has many other dimensions, including emotional and systemic.

“Narrated by patients themselves, the animations convey the stories in three different aspects of difficulties that chronic pain patients face with simple, dynamic, and alive hand-drawn graphics.”
