Australian record label ONE:DAY declares its dedication to backing local artists with both passion and authority in this hero film from Sydney motion house Never Sit Still, part of a full rebrand by agency R/GA.
Darcy Green, senior producer at Never Sit Still: “ONE:DAY is backed by EMI and Universal Music Australia and deeply connected to electronic music, nightlife, live performance, and community. As the label evolved, a rebrand was undertaken to elevate the identity while retaining the raw energy, culture, and attitude that defines it.
“Never Sit Still was brought on to develop a motion language that captured the energy and attitude of the ONE:DAY world, alongside a flexible and modular system designed to extend across campaigns, social content, live screens, and launch content for the label and its artists.
“The resulting film leans into pace, tension, light, typography, and sound to create something visceral and immersive, reflecting both the atmosphere surrounding ONE:DAY and the ambition behind the rebrand itself.”
“One of the key creative challenges was translating the atmosphere of live music culture into an expressive, cinematic, and emotionally charged motion language while ensuring the identity still felt purposeful, refined, and unmistakably ONE:DAY.
“The pacing was driven heavily by the music, capturing both the intensity of high-energy club moments and the slower atmospheric tension that exists between them. Fast cuts and aggressive motion were balanced with moments of anticipation, restraint, and release, mirroring the rhythm of a live crowd experience.
“The resulting film piece leans into pace, tension, light, typography, and sound to create something visceral and immersive, reflecting both the atmosphere surrounding ONE:DAY and the ambition behind the rebrand itself.”
