Cub Studio Body Slam “The Golden Era of Wrestling”

The next chapter in Cub Studio’s rampage thru pop culture (which includes Rugby and Trump, among many others), delivers a full body slam worth of classic wrestling characters and their vinyl doppelgangers.

Fraser Davidson, designer/animator at Cub Studio in Brighton, UK: “Growing up in the 80s and 90s, it was impossible to avoid the larger-than-life superstars of Professional Wrestling. And a as 10-year-old, I was a sucker for it all.

“This is a good reminder that the projects you make purely for yourself can often take you to places your client work never could.”

“The music, the face paint, and of course, the toys. The huge volume of toys. Toys that a 42-year-old man should probably no longer possess.

“It started Five years ago when I opened Cinema 4D to learn some 3D and somehow it’s led to a range of officially licensed Mat Maniacs figures, available from The Nerd Closet and Rock and Roll Collectibles.

“This is a good reminder that the projects you make purely for yourself can often take you to places your client work never could.”
