Back From the Dead: Fortiche Drops New K/DA “Firestarter” Music Video for LOL

Posted on Monday, October 26, 2026

In 2018, League of Legends and animation studio Fortiche broke the internet (and made the cover of Stash 133) with the Pop/Stars music video for virtual band K/DA. The follow-up is finally here, complete with a making-of video.

The video is helmed by Marietta Ren, a graduate of Gobelins and currently a director and storyboard artist at Fortiche, who also has credits on the animated TV series Arcane and Lazarus.

Watch the making-of below to learn how Ren and storyboarders Benjamin Warnitz and Joséphine Meis developed character identities, integrated professional choreography, and used long single-take shots to reflect the rhythm and energy of the music through lighting and VFX.
