Dreams & Destinations: Jumbla Specs Up Concept Travel

Jumbla Animation Studios, whose talent for combining 3D with rich illustration we first featured here, are back with another showcase their hybrid animation skills in this beautifully drafted spec spot.

Dee Kilgour, EP at Jumbla: “This concept project showcases our team’s capability and passion for high quality motion design, character animation, and environment illustration.

“With this project, our aim was to create something adaptable for any brand looking to produce high quality illustrative style animation.”

“We have been working a lot in the gaming space and on various white label projects over the years that we unfortunately cannot show, and identified the want and need to strengthen our folio in this particular space.

“With this project, our aim was to create something adaptable for any brand looking to produce high quality illustrative style animation that uses common branding and UI elements with a combination of 2D illustrated assets, and 3D models.

“We originally intended to do it all as frame-by-frame character work however due to time constraints we found it unrealistic. Our solution was to simply pivot and use a combination of standard AE animation and rigging, that can be somewhat restrictive, with custom frame-by-frame animation to give the character more range of motion.”
