FutureDeluxe Zooms Way Out for Verizon London Hub Film

Inspired by Charles and Ray Eames’ 1977 classic short film Powers of Ten, director Marcus Chaloner and the FutureDeluxe CG motion crew created this intricate welcome film for a tech hub at Verizon’s London HQ.

Marcus Chaloner: Verizon trusted us to interpret how they build their networks as a series of abstract ideas about scale. Our response was to explore how modern networks demonstrate biomimicry from the micro to the kiloscale.

The result is a minute-long sequence that takes the viewer through the human body, past futuristic interpretations of organic infrastructure, and out to a vast landscape of computational monoliths and flowing data – all at 4k and 60fps which was tough given the amount of refractive materials involved.
