California studio Stylo Creative, who broke Prada earlier this summer with this radical spec spot, heads to the golf course and leans into the molecular-level innovations of Mizuno’s forged wedge clubs.
Dillon Hutchins, ECD at Stylo Creative: “In our studio, many of us love to golf, so it was a real treat when Mizuno tapped us to create a campaign that visualizes the technology and data behind their forged wedge design, and the feel they deliver to players.
“Even the sound a Mizuno wedge produces is unique, so we wove that detail into the audio track of the film, sampling the signature ‘Mizuno sound’ within the music and audio design.”
“Through a series of motion studies, we broke the process down grain by grain, transforming impact data, groove geometry, and Mizuno’s unique forging method into a bold visual narrative.
“Mizuno’s patented forging technology ensures the grains in the metal flow consistently through the wedge, giving players maximum feel. It was critical that we conveyed this benefit with complete accuracy, offering viewers a clear window into what makes these clubs so distinct.
“This forging process isn’t just felt, it’s heard. Even the sound a Mizuno wedge produces is unique, so we wove that detail into the audio track of the film, sampling the signature ‘Mizuno sound’ within the music and audio design.”
