The Korb Crew Jump, Cut, and Hustle for Nike

Standing out in the sea of CG sneaker spots takes fresh thinking and confident execution. These three quirky films for Nike’s GT Series shoes from Rimantas Lukavicius and his CG crew at Korb deliver both with a light touch.

Rimantas Lukavicius: “We were tasked with crafting a unique character for each shoe, designed to represent its best features and qualities. The concept was to make them look as though someone recorded these scenes with their phone.

“We had to find a way to transition organically without deconstructing the shoes too much.”

“The most significant challenge was crafting seamless and smooth transitions that linked each character to their respective shoe: from a motorbike to the ‘CUT,’ a dog to the ‘HUSTLE.’ The frog’s transition to ‘JUMP’ happened off-screen, which worked well conceptually, but making the frog look real was a tough technical challenge.

“The transitions for the dog and motorbike were also technically and creatively demanding. Despite representing a similar feel, the distinct looks were another challenge. We had to find a way to transition organically without deconstructing the shoes too much. Fortunately, there was enough time for these, and the process ended up being super fun.”
