Deploying a bespoke Stable Diffusion toolkit, artist/director/coder Vadim Epstein’s latest AI experiment generates a short film full of surreal characters shifting unpredictably between the curious and the grotesque.

Vadim Epstein: “This is yet another Stable Diffusion toolkit, aimed to be functional, clean and compact enough for various experiments. There’s no GUI here, as the target audience are creative coders rather than post-Photoshop users. The latter may check InvokeAI or AUTOMATIC1111 as convenient production suites, or ComfyUI for node-based workflows.”
