London-based 3D motion designers Peter Tomaszewicz and Christiana Perdiou, whose vivid CG work (for clients and themselves) we track here, just released this impressionist personal experiment called This Is Not Padel.
Peter Tomaszewicz and Christiana Perdiou: “This film delves into an experimental approach to color grading and compositing within the realm of clean and minimal 3D design and animation. It seeks to examine how far we can push the integration of digital effects in a vivid abstract style while maintaining a coherent and engaging narrative.

“The post-production process commenced with motion experiments that illustrated various aspects and elements related to the game of tennis. These motion tests were then synthesized into a cohesive story with a dynamic flow.
“After rendering the clean, minimal scenes using 3D software, we proceeded to the post-production phase. This required stacking multiple layers of post effects to achieve the desired final result.”
