“Volna” Short Film Pushes Audio into the Abstract

The non-stop CG experimentation at Media.Work continues in full force with their latest short film “Volna” (Russian for “wave”) exploring the intersection of sound and vision in concert with audio collaborator Artyom Markaryan.

Media.Work CD Igor Sordokhonov: “Living in a world full of sound experiences, we rarely think about what they really are. A physical phenomenon representing the vibration of a medium – sound is often imagined as an ephemeral substance, not amenable to visual perception.

“In our new film, we delved into the study of modern sound sources, portable loudspeakers, and their impact on visual-spatial changes.”
