No one has advanced the art of the smartphone commercial further or faster than director/CG artist Somei Sun (see here and here for recent examples), infusing an otherwise predictable genre with character, atmosphere, and action.

In this latest cinematic spot, for the launch of iQOO’s flagship 15 model, Somei moves into the creative EP role at his prodco Somei Design, with longtime collaborator Ligo Zhang taking over as director and lead CG artist.
