Founder Franco Tassi and the CG team at Taxfreefilm in Parma, Italy, leave no detail unpolished in this incredibly intricate ode to the legendary watches in the Omega catalog including James Bond’s Seamaster.

Franco Tassi: “Omega asked us if we wanted to create more magic, making a fresh new version of our Co-Axial film we did for them in 2013.

“The brief was substantially the same, you have nothing to invent when Omega core values are written in history. They are record breakers in Deep Diving, they won sailing in America’s Cup, they are the Olympic timekeepers since 1910, and of course, they made the only watch which went to the moon!

“Omega also wanted to do a tribute to the magic of Swiss mechanical watchmaking. They create jewels equipped with perpetual motion. An unbelievable micro-mechanics beauty.

“We felt a bit like watch-makers ourselves, assembling hand-crafted the scene, gear after gear. Despite the digital workflow, this job was completely artisanal.

“We are a total Mac studio, and we utilize Cinema 4D for most of the process, with Arnold as the render engine and compositing in After Effects.”
