MINI’s long history of vehicle customization receives an exclamation point in this new CG spot for their 08 Special Editions produced by the NY office of digital design agency Critical Mass thru Goodby Silverstein & Partners.
Mason Douglass & Savannah Bradford, associate CDs at GS&P: “MINI’s design language is so distinctive we could hint at each model using these gorgeous textures and materials in motion, while never showing any sheet metal. That kind of confidence in a visual identity is rare. It made for a very different kind of car film.
“No winding coastal roads. No hero shots. In fact, no cars at all. Instead, each edition is revealed through Mini’s unmistakable silhouette made from the textures, materials and design details that tell the story of each model.”
