Golden Wolf Glitch It Up for Toyota’s GR Trio

ECD Stefan Falconer and the Golden Wolf motion team give Toyota’s GR (Gazoo Racing) performance range of vehicles a gritty dust-up in this fast and furious work thru Saatchi & Saatchi Australia.

Stefan Falconer: “The GR range already carries its own energy, so the challenge was knowing when to amplify it and when to let it run.

“We started off looking at the character of the GR range itself: sharp, precise and engineered, but also tactile, dynamic and full of energy. We wanted the edit, motion design and VFX to express those different facets.

“Some moments needed to feel controlled and technical, with slick graphics and tightly timed shots giving the piece a sense of performance and engineering. Elsewhere, we leaned into more expressive treatments, using slit-scan effects, glares, film grain and paper textures to charge the piece with emotion, atmosphere and raw energy.”
