Sofia Pashaei Explores Womanhood in “Mother’s Milk”

Created as both a short film and a VR exhibition, director/animator/illustrator Sofia Pashaei describes her personal project Mother’s Milk as an investigation of the perception of womanhood.

Sofia Pashaei: “The exhibition explores six memories in which the past and present are intertwined. Each memory is created as an animated loop without a concrete beginning or end.

“The images are fragmented in the same way a memory or a thought can distort and play with one’s perception. Each part is told from a different lens. Always playing with the contrast between simplicity and complexity.”
