Makemake CD Duncan Elms, whose work we track here, leads the studio’s 3D team into a mist-shrouded world of hidden giants with these titles for Steven Spielberg’s nature doc series The Dinosaurs on Netflix.
Duncan Elms: “For The Dinosaurs title sequence, we wanted to lean into monumental scale. By merging these apex predators directly into the landscape, we re-imagined them as part of the geology itself.
“Initially hidden within the environment, the sequence reveals that what look like mountain crags or valley floors are actually the spines and silhouettes of giants. They weren’t just inhabiting the planet, they defined it.”
