RSA draws “Parallel Lines” for Philips Cinema

Friday, March 26th, 2010

rsa_phillips.jpg

From a single piece of dialogue (”It’s a unicorn”) and no direction or setting, timescale or language, Ridley Scott Associates composed the basis for 5 upcoming short films for Phillips Cinema with RSA directors Greg Fay, Johnny Hardstaff, Carl Erik Rinsch, Jake Scott and Hi-Sim each creating their own unique narrative.

Neil Dawson, Philips Chief Creative Officer of commissioning agency DDB Worldwide, “After the success of ‘Carousel’ we, once again, had to produce surprising content that was able to showcase Philips understanding of cinema. By creating 5 different films with identical dialogue we are single-mindedly communicating that whatever the content, a Philips television is the only way to watch it.”

For now you can catch the Official Trailer for “Parallel Lines” but stay tuned for the official launch on April 8th at http://www.youtube.com/philipscinema

Blur, Fincher, Pitt = $oftbank

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

softbank1.jpg

I’m curious to see the budget for this new Softbank spot since we can assume Brad Pitt and David Fincher didn’t come cheap and I doubt the bedlam going on in the background from Blur Studios was contributed pro bono.
More details to follow shortly, but watch it here now.

Thanks to Alba for the tip.
